Alterations and additions of your own to your uniform are not permitted.
Hair must be a natural color, neat, clean and out of your eyes. Male employees with long hair must wear it tied back or under their hat. Excessive make-up is not to be worn while on duty. The maximum jewelry allowed is as follows: two rings per hand, three earrings per ear, two bracelets per wrist (unless identified as a safety hazard by the department), one watch and one small necklace. One facial piercing is allowed. Tattoos are not permitted to be visible to our guests. There may be additional grooming standards within individual departments.
Work schedules are posted three weeks in advance. If you require specific days off, you must give your department three weeks written notice and we will be more than happy to accommodate your activities.
Vacation and Time off
Calaway Park is only operating for a limited time each season and we need employees that are available to us when we are open. Therefore, applicants with more than two weeks vacation will not be considered for employment. Weekends are our busiest days, therefore, applicants that are not available on weekends will not be considered.
Pay periods are from the 1st to the 15th of the month and 16th to the end of the month. Pay days are 5 business days after the end of the pay period – usually the 7th and the 22nd of the month. Paychecks are deposited directly into your bank account.
Preparing for an Interview
Select applicants will be contacted for an interview. Interviews take place at Calaway Park and applicants must have their own transportation to the park for the interview. Professional dress is recommended.
Bring your social insurance number to the interview, as successful candidates will be required to provide a valid social insurance number.
