COVID-19 Safety Update

We are excited to welcome our Guests back to Calaway Park starting June 12th! The safety of our Guests and Team Members will always be our first priority. We can’t wait to create memories, excitement, and joy with your family this summer.

Below is essential information that you need to know for your next visit.

Visiting between Monday, June 21st and Wednesday, June 30th

  • Calaway Park is open 10am to 5pm on June 21st to July 4th.
  • Admission Entry Reservations are required for all Guests, including Season Pass holders and one-day ticket holders. Please click here to book an Admission Entry Reservation. We are fully booked for June 26th and 27th.
  • Guests will complete a Wellness Check prior to entering the Admissions area.
  • Physical distancing will be required throughout the park, including in all queue lines.
  • Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the park.
  • Face masks will be mandatory in the queue line and while riding Vortex, Wave Rider, Storm, Bumble Blast, Sky Wynder, Free Fallin’, Air Gliders, Dream Machine, Adrenaline Test Zone, Ocean Motion, Chaos, and Dodgem. For the safety of all our Guests and Team Members, no exemptions will be permitted.
  • Face masks will be required in all our indoor locations, including retail stores, washrooms, and Guest Services, as well as the Twiz & Twirl Maze.
  • We strongly recommend face masks for your overall park visit and while riding rides.
  • Ride restraints/handles/grab bars will be disinfected on a frequent basis by a specific sanitization team. High touch points such as queue line railings will also be sanitized on a regular basis.
  • Guests will be encouraged to apply hand sanitizer before loading each ride.
  • Games, food and retail locations will be open with increased sanitization protocols, physical distancing, and protective barriers in place.
  • The Haunted Hotel, Cinemagic 3D, all Live Stage Shows, Calaway Café, and Celebration Shop will not be available in June.
  • Team members will be pre-screened prior to each shift and will wear face masks. Some team members will also wear face shields dependent on their location.
  • Guests cannot visit Calaway Park if they are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath, runny nose or sore throat that are not related to a pre-existing illness or health condition, or are otherwise required to isolate or quarantine. Please reschedule your visit if anyone in your party is experiencing these symptoms or is sick. If you begin to feel ill during your visit, please go to First Aid immediately.
  • Food can only be shared by members of the same family. There can be no shared picnic baskets or food outside of your immediate family at the park during this time.
  • Please bring a full water bottle as all water fountains will be disengaged. Bottled water will be available for purchase.

Visit on Thursday, July 1st or later

  • Calaway Park is open daily from 10am to 5pm from June 12th to July 4th.
  • Calaway Park is open daily from 10am to 7pm from July 5th to September 6th.
  • This Fall, Calaway Park is open Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday Monday from 11am to 6pm from September 11th to October 11th, 2021.
  • As of July 1st, Admission Entry Reservations are no longer required.
  • Guests will be physically distanced as they enter the park and we recommend physical distancing throughout your visit. Physical distancing markers will remain in place. We highly recommend physical distancing in all queue lines as they are longer than 15 minutes. Rides will be loaded to average capacity as they are outdoor and 90 seconds or less in duration.
  • Hand sanitization stations are located throughout the park.
  • Mask wearing is at the discretion of each Guest. Face masks will not be mandatory for your overall park visit or on rides. You are welcome to continue wearing your face mask.

  • Our indoor locations including the Haunted Hotel, Cinemagic 3D and Calaway Café will not open until August 1st.
  • Live entertainment will be available on the Celebration Square Stage starting July 8th. Please watch our Entertainment page for details on our local entertainment line up.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and can lead to severe illness or death. Senior citizens and guests with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable. You may choose to postpone your visit. By visiting Calaway Park you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

FAQ

Admission tickets will be available at Calaway Park. If you choose to not purchase online and book your Admission Entry Reservation then we cannot guarantee you entry on the day of your visit. Starting July 1st, Admission Entry Reservations will no longer be required. We continue to recommend that you purchase your one-day tickets online or at your local Calgary Co-op before the day of your visit.

If you are unable to make your reservation, including due to weather, please let us know so that we can make it available to another family. Please email us at entryreservation@calawaypark.com.

Calaway Park does not have a non-rider admission rate. We hope that you enjoy some of our family rides like U-Drive, Carousel and Rocky Mountain Rail as well as CP Spray n’ Play and our live entertainment.

Yes, please ensure that you get a hand stamp at the exit gate before leaving.

Birthday Party packages and group events are not available in June.

Yes! Wheelchairs will be available to rent at First Aid on a first come, first serve basis. Stroller rentals will be available at Hudstones Toys and Gifts.
