Where is Calaway Park?
Calaway Park is nestled in the foothills of the majestic Canadian Rockies. Located 10 km west of Calgary, Alberta on the Trans Canada Highway #1 at Range Road 33. Click here for location map.
How old is Calaway Park?
Calaway Park is celebrating its 39th Anniversary of Family Fun in 2020! The park opened in 1982 and it was named Calaway Park because it is “away” from “Calgary” hence Calaway Park!

What do you have to pay for within the park?
Calaway Park is one-pay gate. With your admission (day tickets or Season Pass) you can enjoy unlimited rides, live stage shows, access to our 3D theatre and other attractions and parking! You will need to pay for any food, games or merchandise your choose to purchase.
Do you have a non-rider admission price?
Calaway Park does not offer a non-rider admission price. There is something for everyone at Calaway Park and your admission includes our live stage shows, access to our 3D theatre and other park attractions. For discount admission options, click here.
Does Calaway Park have overnight accommodations?
Yes! Come stay a night at the Calaway RV Park and Campground, which is located next door to the park. Enjoy the view of the Canadian Rockies! There are over 104 RV and tenting sites. For more campground information, click here.
How many rides does Calaway Park have?
Calaway Park has 32 rides including our log ride Timber Falls, The VORTEX Rollercoaster and interactive Bumper Boats.
What are the most popular rides at Calaway Park?
The most popular rides are Timber Falls, the Mother Nature’s Thrill ride- The Storm, the Vortex Rollercoaster, Ocean Motion (swinging boat), U Drive – Safety School of Motoring, Bumper Boats and Chaos!
What else does Calaway Park have besides rides?
Calaway Park is much more than rides! Calaway Park also offers daily live entertainment throughout the park. Check out Mulligan’s Island Mini Golf, the Haunted Hotel or Twiz and Twirl Maze.

What does Calaway Park have for children?
Calaway Park has plenty of rides and attractions for children of all ages! Some of our children’s rides include Swirly Twirl – Swing Ride, The Carousel, Egg Ride, Rocky Mountain Rail, Boulder Bumpers and the U Drive – Safety School of Motoring!
When do rides close?
Select rides and attractions will not operate in rain, high winds, lightning, storms, or other inclement weather conditions. These rides will open as soon as the inclement weather passes. Rides may be subject to closure throughout the day for cleaning purposes or routine maintenance. Calaway Park will make every effort to re-open the ride as soon as our standards are met. Ride lineups may close early in order to process all Guests within the lineup, prior to park closure.
How many people does Calaway Park employ?
Calaway Park has a full-time, year round staff of approximately 39 people, plus approximately 660 seasonal employees are hired each spring! To fill out an application, click here.

Can I smoke at Calaway Park?
Smoking, vaping and e-cigarettes are not permitted at Calaway Park except in one designated smoking area (must be at least 18 years of age). Calaway Park is working towards becoming a non-smoking facility. Consumption of marijuana is not permitted.
