Since 1982 Calaway Park has produced 102 original stage shows for a total of 22,325 performances seen by over 9,260,000 audience members!
Auditions are held every January to hire a cast for the season.
It takes approximately 30 hours of rehearsal time for our cast to learn one show!
Calaway Park has received 6 nominations for the International Amusement Parks and Attractions Association BIG E AWARDS, recognizing excellence in theme park entertainment world-wide. The 2005 Big E Awards ceremony was hosted by Joey Fatone, former member of NSYNC, and the 2006 Awards were hosted by Broadway performers from The Jersey Boys and Wicked. Our 2007 production "The Pirate Book" was selected as a Finalist in our park category!
The cast uses 40 pairs of dance shoes, 60 pairs of tights, 30 bodysuits, over 600 bobby pins each season, and does over 400 loads of laundry!
Performing at the park is a physically challenging job… The cast talks nutrition and does physical warm-ups every day. Each performer drinks approximately 4 litres of water every day they perform!
Calaway Park has hosted concerts and events for a variety of musicians over the years, most recently Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Aaron Lines, The Wilkinsons, Johnny Reid, and Soul Decision to name a few.

In the 27 years Calaway Park has offered entertainment, over 700 people have been a part of our Calaway Live casts! Former members of our cast can be seen all over the world in a variety of careers, many of whom are enjoying successful careers in the arts including Broadway productions, film & television, cruiseships, Disney parks and musical theatre tours to name a few!
